Introduction. The rapid development of information technologies and the Internet, as well as the widespread introduction of mobile communication devices (smartphones, tablets, etc.) into everyday practice, have led to global positive changes in various spheres of life of society as a whole and each individual. However, with the advent of wide opportunities to use the Internet space, there is a potential threat of its use for criminal purposes. Minors are particularly vulnerable to using the Internet. Criminal acts involving the use of modern information and telecommunication technologies pose a real threat to minors. Materials and methods. The theoretical basis of the study was scientific works on the problems of criminalistic study of the personality of a minor who suffered from cybercrimes. In the course of the work, general scientific and special methods of scientific cognition were used (analysis, synthesis, comparison, analogy, modeling, system-structural method, etc.). The results of the study. As a result of the conducted research: the relevant, including controversial, issues of the formation of a knowledge system accumulating a system of information about crimes committed against minors using information technologies on the Internet have been identified; the need to improve a number of scientific areas on the subject under consideration has been determined. Conclusions and conclusions. The specific features of crimes committed in cyberspace against minors due to the existing situation have been identified. The current directions of the development of the issues of using cyberspace to counteract the commission of crimes, which significantly determine the mechanism of its commission, are analyzed. The directions of research on the identity of the perpetrator of cybercrimes against minors are outlined.
