Introduction: The article studies the evolution of legal regulation of the organization and activities of transport prosecution in Russia after the collapse of the USSR, focuses on the transformation of its structure and regulatory framework under new political and economic realities. The main attention is paid to the period of 1991-2001, when the reform of the law enforcement system required the adaptation of legal mechanism to the new realities.
