DETERMINANTS OF JUVENILE CRIME AS DELINQUENT BEHAVIOR OF THEIR PERSONALITY
Abstract and keywords
Abstract (English):
Introduction. In this article, the author explores the factors that contribute to juvenile delinquency. The focus is on the individual characteristics of those engaging in delinquent behaviour. The author highlights the significant role of the environment and society in shaping the behaviour of minors. Living conditions, upbringing, socio-economic factors, lack of positive role models, influence of peers and lack of influence from the state, as well as the nature and upbringing conditions within the family, all contribute to delinquent behaviours among minors. To address this issue effectively, it is essential to carefully examine these factors. Materials and Methods. The normative basis for the study was Federal Law No. 120-FZ dated06/24/1999, "On the Basics of the system for the Prevention of Neglect and Juvenile Delinquency", Federal Law No. 182-FZ dated on June 23rd, 2016, "On Fundamentals of the Prevention System of Offences in the Russian Federation", and the National Security Strategy of the Russian Federation. The study used the comparative legal method, generalization and description. The Results of the Study led to the conclusion that the lifestyle of the people around the youth, living conditions and upbringing, socio-economic factors, the lack of positive examples, the influence of peers and the role of the state in all this determine the formation of the personality of minors, including delinquent character. The processes of educational work face such difficulties as the lack of cultural and educational programs and the naturally low level of involvement of minors in these activities, which requires additional study and the development of new approaches to improve the effectiveness of preventive activities. Findings and Conclusions. Analysis of the determinants of juvenile delinquency shows that many factors have a direct impact, including socio-economic conditions and family environment. Conditions for the involvement of young people in criminal activities are also created by such factors as poverty, social insecurity, and limited educational opportunities.
