Criminal failure or improper fulfillment of responsibilities for raising a minor by a parent or other person entrusted with these responsibilities has become widespread in recent years. In order to improve the quality of detection, investigation and prevention of these crimes, the methodology for their investigation requires improvement. An important role in establishing forensically significant information in cases of this category belongs to the interaction of the inquirer and investigator with the operational investigative units of the internal affairs bodies. The authors identified its organizational, tactical and procedural features, and proposed to consider interaction as an independent element of the methodology for investigating criminal failure or improper performance of duties in raising a minor.
