The rules in force from the summer of 2018 in the term of punishment of duration when coercive measures are applied to criminally persecuted persons in the form of detention, imprisonment, house arrest, prohibition of certain actions consisting in isolating the suspect or the accused from society are analyzed. In connection with the introduction of a new formula for the time spent on remand in custody, the conclusion on the application of a judicial procedure for reducing the term of deprivation of liberty to be served by a convicted person in an educational colony, a correctional colony of general regime or a settlement colony is justified.
