The article examines various theories of the structure of legal norms; presents the author's opinion on the building of legal norms and defines their constituent elements. The author proposes to abandon the traditional understanding of the structure of a legal norm and to apply in theory and in practice a two-element structure of a legal norm consisting of «conditions» and «consequences».
