Abstract (English):
The article conducted a study of traces of thermal effects on metal corners. The study was conducted by the method of surface and through sounding by ultrasonic wave. It has been established that the Ultraterm device, which is part of the «Sirius» field fire facility, has little effectiveness in determining the degree of thermal damage to steel products. To increase the reliability of the results of the study of metal products using ultrasonic flaw detection, it is necessary to modernize the Sirius complex and develop a methodology for preparing products for sounding. To improve the reliability of the results of the study of metal products using ultrasonic flaw detection, it is necessary to modernize the «Sirius» complex.
