The situation of terrorist and extremist crimes is considered as one of the fundamental elements of their forensics characteristics. Criminal acts are investigated in their genesis, covering the period from the beginning of the intent to commit a crime to the period of concealment of traces. The article examines the features of spatial and temporal relationships in the forensics characterization of terrorism and extremism. Forensically significant information about terrorist acts and extremist crimes committed via the Internet is revealed. The importance of correlation of the situation with other elements of the forensics characteristics of terrorist and extremist crimes is noted.
