Статья посвящена памяти Владимира Васильевича Степанова - профессора, заслуженного юриста РФ, почётного работника высшего образования России, заложившего основы для формирования саратовской научной школы криминалистики, подготовившего 56 кандидатов юридических наук, четверо из которых защитили докторские диссертации. Владимир Васильевич является автором многочисленных трудов, научные положения которых не утративших актуальности по настоящее время. Его научные и методические работы известны как в нашей стране, так и за рубежом. Плодами его научных работ пользуется не одно поколение ученых и практиков.
The paper is dedicated to the memory of Vladimir Vasilyevich Stepanov – professor, Merited Lawyer of the RF and Honorary Higher Education Worker of Russia, who has laid the foundations of the Saratov scientific school of criminalistics and prepared 56 candidates of law sciences; four of those have defended their doctoral dissertations. Vladimir Vasilyevich is known as the author of numerous publications, with the scientific statements that haven’t lost their relevance up to the present. His research and methodical papers are known both, in our country and abroad. The fruits of his work have been used by several generations of scientists and practicing criminalists.
